In practice, this was a process automation initiative focused on production efficiency — not enterprise architecture. Enterprise Architecture is not factory control systems + ERP dashboards.

This was a tech rollout across departments — not an enterprise-wide design.

This was not Enterprise Architecture. It was a multi-platform upgrade with some automation goals.

The Missing 70% What was built: A capable digital backbone for content storage, personalization, and distribution. What was missed: The structural model that shows how strategy, creativity, operations, and monetization sync across a media enterprise.

What was delivered: digital platforms, shared systems, omnichannel interfaces. What was missing: structural coordination, enterprise process logic, and cross-brand anatomy.

The result is a fragmented architecture that looks clean on paper but can’t answer enterprise-level questions — not during crisis, not during scale, and not during transformation.

The gap between national digital strategy and agency execution still exists — only now it’s disguised beneath polished IT diagrams and certification checklists. Until a true enterprise anatomy is built these initiatives will remain: Frameworks on paper, not architecture in practice.

This isn’t Enterprise Architecture for a Bank. This is an IT roadmap, wearing a borrowed title. If 12 of the 15 critical banking functions were never touched, it’s not EA. It’s IT transformation mislabelled as Enterprise Architecture

We’re not in 1998 anymore. The enterprise is not a stack of boxes. It’s a living system—interconnected, adaptive, and fragile when misunderstood. So next time you see a diagram full of tidy rectangles, ask yourself: Would this pass in medical school? If not, maybe it shouldn’t pass in the boardroom either.
