I Configure SAP. But I’m Called an Architect.

Updated: May 2

What I Actually Do

I configure SAP. I configure sales. I configure materials. I configure finance. I configure planning. I configure plant. I configure workflow. I configure reports. I configure master data. I configure process models.

I map fields. I define screens. I assign organizational units. I maintain configuration tables. I set workflows. I align roles, approvals, validations, and reports.I coordinate with ABAP teams, integration teams, testing teams, and support teams.

This is important work. But important work is not the same as architecture.
