1.How This Pattern Emerged
Over the last two years, ICMG has reviewed transformation portfolios inside India-based GCCs supporting global banks — with assessments conducted across Pune, Hyderabad, and Bengaluru.
These GCCs delivered programs in core banking, lending, risk, payments, AML, regulatory reporting, and more. Some managed over 300 engineers dedicated to a single client. Others ran hybrid delivery models across multiple geographies.
But across every site, one pattern held true:
Projects were being delivered. Systems were getting modernized. But the bank was never modeled structurally.
