1. How This Pattern Emerged
Over the last two years, ICMG has reviewed transformation portfolios inside major airlines — from full-service flag carriers to low-cost operators — with assessments across hubs in Dubai, Doha, Singapore, London, and Atlanta.
These airlines ran programs in passenger service, cargo, loyalty, maintenance, safety, and operations control. Some had over 400 engineers working on digital transformation. Others ran hybrid in-house/vendor delivery models across continents.
But across every site, one pattern held true:
Projects were delivered. Systems were modernized. But the airline was never modeled structurally.
