Gartner Rated Your EA Mature. How Do You Elevate It into ICMG Enterprise Anatomy™?

A high EA maturity score should not be wasted. It should be converted into something business leaders can use every day.

If Gartner or another maturity model has already rated your EA as mature, the next step is not to restart EA. The next step is to ask a sharper question:
How much of that maturity can actually be used every day for business decisions?
Because a maturity assessment may confirm that the EA function is well-governed, well-staffed, well-tooled, and operating with discipline.
That is useful. But daily business decisions still need something more specific. They need traceability. They need to show how one decision moves from strategy to process, systems/logic, component specifications, implementation tasks, and operations.
That is where ICMG Enterprise Anatomy™ becomes relevant.
Do not discard the maturity work. Elevate it.
A Gartner maturity assessment may produce useful evidence.
It may include EA governance, operating model, architecture principles, standards, roadmaps, capability maps, application views, technology views, stakeholder engagement models, architecture review processes, and improvement plans.
These assets should not be thrown away.
The real question is:
Can they be converted into usable enterprise decision visibility system?
