The background planning and execution process after vehicle ordered by the customer is very crucial, the vehicle order generated from the customer should be planned properly and ensure the vehicle delivery date to the customer. This process is called “Order Fulfilment” process, for this process a robust MPS Optimization software is required.
Project Goals & Strategy
Ashok Leyland's Project Objectives were to achieve improved delivery commitment to the customer for Made To Order orders and more reliability in the production plan.
Process Architecture
Business process Models were created for Operations, Sales & Marketing, Manufacturing, Logistics in support of the above strategies.
System Architecture
System Architecture was developed to support the above Business Processes by creating system functions for Plant Simulation, MRP Planning.
Technical Architecture
Technical Architecture was created enabling the System Architecture for components such as Sales Planning, Production Planning, Sequencing, Sourcing and Supply Chain.
Implementation Model
Implementation of the Technical Architecture was achieved through products including Technomatix Plant Simultion Software, SAP ECC with MRP function, SAP PI for Integration.
Operational Models
a. Lead time reduction in overall all production planning process (16Hrs to less than 2 Hrs.)
b. Customer service level improved for 66% to 85%
c. MTO Service level – 90% of the MTOs billed less than 10 days’ time
